About the Authors

Mahesh Krishnan

Mahesh Krishnan is fortunate enough to be paid for what he loves doing most – creating software. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked in India, the UK, the United States, and Australia on a number of projects ranging from shrink-wrapped products to large corporate applications. He currently works as a principal consultant at Readify, a company that specializes in consulting and training in Microsoft technologies.

Prior to this, he was the technical director of The Thin Blue Line at Victoria Police, where he was responsible for delivering a number of key projects. Mahesh is well-known in the .NET community and frequently speaks at community and industry events such as code camps, YOW!, Tech Ed, and REMIX. He organizes the DDD Melbourne Conference every year and runs Victoria .NET, which is one of the largest .NET user groups in Australia. He is also one of the founding members of Silverlight Developer and Designer Network as well as the Windows Azure Meetup in Melbourne.

He is the author of the books “Introducing .NET 4.5“, and “Silverlight 4 for Dummies

John began his career of writing world-class, innovative software as a Software Development Intern on the Microsoft Excel 4.5 Development Team while still a student. Upon graduation from Dartmouth College, he worked as a Software Engineer in the Oracle Forms Development Team at Oracle Corporation. He then returned to Microsoft Corporation, where he was involved in developing and shipping Microsoft Project 95 and Microsoft Project 98, and developing the prototype of SharePoint Server. He was one of the first US employees who transferred to Microsoft R&D India Private Limited, Hyderabad, India in 1999, where he was a lead developer on the Microsoft Visual J# Development Team until 2000.

John is a Founding Director and Chief Technology Officer of BrightSword Technologies Pte Ltd, Singapore – an ISO 9001 organization. He also served as the Chief Architect of HealthUnity Corporation, where he architected and directed the development of a secure, dynamic, workflow-driven, messaging-based peer-to-peer collaboration network for healthcare applications.

John currently lives in Melbourne, Australia and is a Senior Application Architect at MYOB.
